India, early 1900s. ๐๐๐
The sun rises over the fields of Rohankheda , a cluster of villages under the rule of a powerful zamindar, Zyran Ahmad Quresi.
The British Raj watches from a distance, but in these lands, Zyranโs word is law.
The large haveli named Noor Mahal of the Quresi family stands on a hill, its high arches and red sandstone walls bearing witness to generations of power.
